Festo Equivalent Parts, Explained
We sell genuine Festo components as an authorised supplier, and manufacture our own direct equivalents in-house. Here's how the two ranges relate — and how to pick the right one.
Two Ranges, One Catalogue
Browse our cylinder and valve categories and you'll see two brands sitting side by side: Festo and SPAC. As an authorised supplier we stock genuine Festo parts under their original part numbers. Alongside them, our own engineering team manufactures direct equivalents — such as our EMAL series against Festo's DSNU round-body range — built to the same ISO 15552 mounting standard.
Every product page shows a brand chip so you always know which range you're looking at, and can compare the genuine part against our equivalent before you order.
Example
Festo DSNU-10-10-P-A and SPAC EMAL Ø10mm × 10mm stroke are both ISO 15552 round-body double-acting cylinders — same mounting footprint, same duty.
Compare EMAL vs DSNUWhich Should You Order?
Choose Genuine Festo When:
Your BOM or drawing specifies an exact Festo part number
You need Festo-branded traceability for an existing Festo-specified line
You're replacing a like-for-like part on Festo automation equipment
Choose the SPAC Equivalent When:
Same ISO 15552 mounting dimensions — drop-in interchangeable
UK-manufactured, typically shorter lead times than imported OEM stock
No minimum order quantity, with custom bore/stroke options available
Not Sure Which Part You Need?
Send us your existing Festo part number and our engineers will confirm the direct SPAC equivalent, including price and lead time.
